Panasonic Design Challenge

The Panasonic Design Challenge is a design challenge held by Panasonic in the state of New Jersey. In my high school, I was one of three students chosen to compete in this challenge, and we developed in a six-month time period a robot to compete in competition. Personally, I machined 25+ parts using a drill press, band saw, hand drill and other tools. I also programmed and wired an Arduino circuit as well as created and soldered 2 controllers to motors circuits. Together, the group updated and maintained a 70-page engineering logbook, keeping track of daily progress and brainstorm sketches, and presented a high level 5-minute presentation to judges explaining design concepts as well as a typed 5-page report. At the end of the six month period, we placed third in the entire state and were awarded scholarships. Please click the image to the left to see the website explanation.
